FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What should I have for my first?

A. Your first appointment will generally be at your home os we can see the existing space(s) and take measurements. We will ask questions about the project you are interested in to get a better understanding of what you want to accomplish. Have any pictures you have seen in magazines, books, or on the Web that you like to give us an idea of the look and particular features you are wanting. Pictures or specifications of appliances you are interested in using are also helpful. Also, have a budget in mind.

Q. Is there a design fee?

A. No, but we do not give out drawings until a contract is signed and down payment has been received. If you would like us to do just design work and purchase the plans, we will bill on a time basis which can be discussed at that time.

Q. How long will the project last?

A. It just depends on the scope and complexity of the project. Normally, a project will last 4-8 weeks but could be longer if it is a larger job. We will give you a calendar of the work to be done before a job is started so you know what to expect, and when people will be at your home.

Q. What if I want to do the work myself?

A. Great! We can do a complete project or just a portion of it. You let us know what you would like to do and we can do the rest.

Q. Can I buy just the product i.e. cabinets, countertops, tile?

A. Yes. We can just supply you or your contractor with the product and leave the installation to you. We can do as little or as much as you want.

Q. What if I need help with paint color selection on a project?

A. When we do a project we will help you with that. If you just want help with the paint selections and we are not already working with you on a project, we can do that too and will charge an hourly rate.

Q. Do you just do kitchens?

A. We can do any room in your house. We love doing bathrooms, fireplaces, entry's basements, bars, offices, and mudrooms to name a few. We can also do additions or combine two rooms to create a larger space.
